Founder and creator of Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers, Inc., Bill Murphy, is often asked why his organization has been so successful at raising money for these worthy causes. Murphy responds,
"People often ask us why we think our events are successful. We believe there are two reasons. First, we try to create events that are a little different from the mainstream. Secondly, and probably more importantly, we utilize the concept of empowerment. In each of our events we offer you choice and a guarantee. whether you're a sponsor or individual participant, we ask that you choose from a roster of the participating beneficiaries, and we guarantee that 100% of the money you raiser or donate will be given to the charity of your choice. That combination of choice and guarantee is the bedrock of our organization."
