Founder and creator of Cape Cod Charitable FunRaisers, Inc., Bill Murphy, is often asked why his organization has been so successful at raising money for other 501-c-3 organizations. Murphy responds,
"People often ask us why we think our events are successful. We believe there are two reasons. First, we try to create events that are a little different from the mainstream. Secondly, and probably more importantly, we utilize the concept of empowerment. In each of our events we offer you choice and a guarantee. Whether you're a sponsor, team, or individual participant, we ask that you choose from a roster of the participating beneficiaries, and we guarantee that 100% of the money you raise or donate will be given to the charity of your choice. That combination of choice and guarantee is the bedrock of our organization."
