2011 Last Gasp “Challenges”
1. Doug Schworer- will raise $10,000 for Team Hospice
2. Paul Hebert- will return to be the #3 top fundraiser
3. Peter Kelly- Promises that Cape Cod Beer will have more team riders than The Chain Gang
4. Ron Winner- a. Challenged everyone to come to the Last Gasp/Cape Cod Beer Bash on Aug. 19 b. Suggests it’s best to start your fundraising efforts early c. The Chain Gang will reach the $42,000 mark this year.
5. Cape Cod Young Professionals- will raise $25,000 in their first year as a LG beneficiary.
6. Lauren Wolk of the Cultural Center- a perennial Big Wheel despite not riding but organizing the finish line, promises to reach $2,000 in 2011, a personal best.
7. Cape Cod Beer- explained the advantage to teams and beneficiaries of providing quality auction items for The Bash.
8. “Tripping Lilly”…aka Monica Rizzio, pledged to raise $6,000 as well as provide a hand made mandolin for the auction.
9. Sandy Boudreau will provide and original painting for auction.
10. Phil Boudreau, not to be outdone by wife Sandy, promises a return to the Top 10 of LG fundraisers.
11. Nick Harmansky- Pledges to raise $25,000 and remain King of The Gasp…#1.
12. Anne Van Vleck of CCYP promises to become a Big Wheel ($1,000) in her first Gasp.
13. Matt Van Gelder set a personal goal of $2,000 and will donate a new bike from the Dennis Cycle Center for the auction.
14. Bill Murphy- pledges a personal best of $7500.
15. Chris Murphy- promises to kick his brother’s butt with $7501.
16. Jill Sanger will stretch for $3,000.
17. Clayton Palmer committed his new CCCC team with raising $5,000 with him personally raising $1,000.
18. Rob Nichols will roll into high gear with a pledge of $3,000.
19. Jack Curtis of CCYP will match Rob at $3,000.
20. Amy Levine, new E.D. of the Cape and islands Untied Way, pledged her husband Bob to a commitment of $1,000…way to go Amy!
21. Long time Gasper and Sandwich Kiwanian Gerry Swift commits to $5,000 in 2011.
22. Ben Styche of CCYP is in for $1500.
23. Frank from CC Children’s Place team promises $1,000.
24. Beth Marcus of CC Beer pledges to make her son raise money and that Team Marcus will get to the $6500 level in 2011.
25. Ron Winner asks Peter Kelly to “bring back the kilt!”
26. Tom Patton, one of Chatham’s finest, pledges $3,000.
27. Bruce Rosewell promises $2,000 without the help of wife Gayle.
28. Michelle Desmond pledges that team Children’s Place will raise $10,000.
29. Ron Gangemi of Team Tick guarantee’s $10,000 for the team in the years Gasp.
