 The Last Gasp 2008
Welcome!
The seventeenth annual Last Gasp Bike, Boat, ‘n Bake will take place this coming September 13 and 14, 2008. This year we will feature the Pasta Salute on Saturday September 13, followed by the traditional Last Gasp ride, Cape Cod Bay cruise, and clambake on Sunday September 14. We hope you will consider joining us for this Cape Cod autumnal extravaganza.
In the coming weeks, as details are decided, the website will be updated with more information. We will also have the registration material available here at www.thelastgasp.com on or about April 1, 2008. Once again this year you will be able to register online as well as have supporters donate on your behalf using our secured site and credit card payment system.
The weather has been fabulous that last two years and we are expecting more of the same in 2008. We are also coming off a record breaking year that should prove to only get better.  The Last Gasp - Come ride your bike from Sandwich to Provincetown (62 miles) along one of America’s most beautiful roadways, Route 6A. The ride begins at 8:00 am sharp on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008. Once you arrive in Provincetown, simply load your bike on to a UPS truck for transport and join the rest of the Gaspers for a reception at the Surf Club located at the foot of MacMillian Wharf. At 2:00 pm we set sail aboard the M.V. Big Red for a spectacular cruise of Cape Cod Bay concluding back where we started at the Sandwich Marina. Once you disembark, you will pick up your bike from the UPS truck and proceed to the American Legion on Rt. 130 in Sandwich for an authentic Cape Cod clambake with all the fixin’s. The day will conclude with our awards ceremony honoring our sponsors, participants, and top fundraisers alike.
Last Gasp Bus/Bake - Maybe you are not a bike rider but still want to take part in all the fun and support a friend or family member. If this is the case, then the Last Gasp party bus is for you. The bus will leave the Sandwich Marina around 8:30 am, just after the Last Gaspers have left the starting line. You will enjoy a very scenic ride to Provincetown. Once you arrive in P-Town, you will have a few hours to shop, have lunch, and check on your favorite Gasper. The bus will reload at 2:15 and head back to Sandwich. Once back, you will head over to the American Legion for your lobster and clambake in plenty of time.
Last Gasp Donation - Maybe you are unable to join us for the day, but would still like to support a rider, team, or beneficiary. If this is the case, please click on the “Donations” link on the top right of our web page. From there you will be able to make a secure and confidential contribution in the name of a rider or beneficiary. As with all of CCCF Inc. events, your donation is 100% tax deductible, and 100% of your donation will be directed to the person or agency of your choice, that’s right, 100%!
